1. A bank may not alter a deposit and put funds in another account, absent express authority by the depositor to do so. 2. The prerequisites to a bank's exercise of its common law right of setoff against a customer's account are: (1) existence of a debtor-creditor relationship between bank and customer, (2) the customer's ownership of a general deposit account in the bank to which setoff may be made, and (3) mutuality of matured indebtedness.
